Wolf control is good

One of the biggest arguments going on right now in the hunting world is over wolf control.  The fact is, that without wolf control, other forms of game animals will be wiped out by the wolves and in areas where there are no wolves, the animals will eat all the vegetation and most likely starve.  With wolf population control and control over their food sources such as moose and caribou, we can create a balance to ensure that none of Alaska’s great species become endangered or worse, extinct.

The biggest argument against wolf control is that it’s inhumane to shoot them from helicopters, which brings up the question, how are we supposed to efficiently control them from the ground where it is almost impossible to get close to them?

The solution is this: only allow Fish & Game employees to shoot, capture or relocate wolves by way of helicopter.  Everyone else looking to hunt wolves must do so by ground transportation.  By instituting this rule, all the environmentalists that argue that hunting from the air is not “fair chase” will be happy and so will the caribou and moose populations that will be able to prosper.  As long as rules such as this one are in place, humans can continue to keep balance in the animal world as well as in our own.
