It’s been a long, cold winter day and your nose is running from that yearly round of winter colds.  Tea seems to be calling your name, as well as that hot shower, warm blanket and that beckoning T.V. program or book.  Only one question remains, what types of tea really do help?

Throat Coat: This tea, which is manufactured by Traditional Medicinals, soothes the sorest of throats, warming you from your toes straight to the tip of your nose.  It comes in lemon, honey and traditional herbal flavors.

Chamomile tea: Any brand of this classic nighttime drink does wonders for a sore and tender throat.  This age old tea calms you down and prepares you for a relaxing night at home.

Alpine apple cider:  I know it isn’t a tea, but this drink is great when you have a cold because it’s not too sugary and it is a great source of that all important Vitamin C.  It is tasty even when you aren’t being haunted by that winter cold.  Apple cider comes in a panorama of flavors some of which being caramel apple cider, spiced cider and just plain old, traditionalist apple cider.  There is also a sugar-free line of apple ciders, for those who are more health conscious.

The prices for these buys can vary from $4 to $12, depending on the brand and the place of purchase.  For someone suffering from a cold, and in need of a little relief, these teas can seem life saving.
